Billionaires Poster

For this project, I was tasked with choosing a political issue I felt strongly about and creating a typographic poster that communicated my message through a key phrase. I chose to focus on the influence that billionaires have on politics and society because of their wealth. I came up with the phrase “Billionaires Buy Power” to communicate this idea in a short, direct, and impactful way. 

For the design, I wanted the phrase to look like it had been spray-painted onto a wall, almost as if it were a form of public protest. The main typography of the phrase is done in a traditional graffiti style, and I surrounded the main typography with tags and other details to make the poster feel like a photograph taken on the street. I primarily used Adobe Photoshop to create textures, lettering, and overall composition. My goal was to give the poster a raw and rebellious feel that reflected the frustration behind the message, while using typography as the focus of the design.
